Seriously, if I can't solve this issue in the next few months, I may have to just sell or give away my Producer.and I have invested so much cash in it that it hurts to think of doing that! I am about to give it all up and go back to my simple and boring, but not-stressful previous program. I know all my mp3's and gif's can't be corrupt. It will not let me even highlight a gif or mp3 when I am trying to set up a new shuts everything down completely.

The old Producer I had (version 4, I think) never did this, so I must have installed something that Producer hates. Let me just say this, deleting the files mentioned and letting them recreate themselves, un-installing the program and re-installing it, trying an earlier version, etc.did not help. My father-in-law had a stroke, we nursed him through it, and he died recently, so my schedule is crazy right now. Guys, I am still having the same problem, in spite of trying the solutions you suggested, but I am going to try them again over the next few weeks. I saw something similar to this issue from a Proshow user, but it did not have a solution and I have not been able to relocate the post (no solution, so I don't know if it would have helped anyway.)ĭoes anyone have any ideas or suggestions about this? I paid too much money for my Producer to give up on it, but it is about to drive me to drink! HELP, I would appreciate ANY help! Rats, with Christmas coming up and my Christmas presentation for my TV not done, I really don't have time to completely restore my system, but it is beginning to look like that might be my only hope.

It is possible I did.it has been a wild and busy two months. I am sorry, but I cannot remember if I did any Windows updates or installed any new programs after then. HISTORY: My Producer ran fine on my VISTA and ran fine (for a while), but then suddenly stopped.

WHAT I HAVE TRIED AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTED: Un-installed and reinstalled Producer installed previous versions ran in safe mode updated system drivers updated Windows ran sfc/scan now uninstalled any recently installed software prayer, and alcohol.only kidding about the alcohol, but I may reconsider. My heart is broken! If I open Producer and it happens to open to a folder that has individual audio files or images, it crashes immediately.ĮRROR MESSAGE: ".encounted a problem and must close." PROBLEM:Producer crashes when I even highlight (select) an unprotected audio file or video file, so I can't even begin to create shows. Oh, all you brains out there, I need some major help!ĮNVIRONMENT:I am using Windows 7, 32bit and Producer, latest version.
