
Animals and dangerous monsters who only appear at night give the world some extra life. Finding new things to craft and shaping the world to look however you want it to is a blast. It's a game that requires player driven exploration, creation, and destruction. There are no goals in the game other than the ones you make for yourself. Even without all of the PC benefits Minecraft on consoles is still a highly addictive experience. With the promise of more to come in future updates it might not be long until it's there. It's obviously still not up to the scope of the PC version, but consoles have never been closer. The ability to transfer your worlds and purchases from the 360 version make it so there's really no excuse to make this upgrade.
